How it works:
- First, verify your eligibility under the stream you are interested in — each province or territory operates its own “streams” targeting specific categories, such as skilled workers, students, business people, or semi-skilled workers.
- If you apply through the Express Entry‑linked stream, your nomination grants you 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, boosting your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
- For streams not linked to Express Entry, the process remains robust and direct: apply to the province/territory, obtain a nomination, and then submit your application for permanent residency online once you have been nominated.
